A Work in Progress

As the new Art and Marketing Director for River District Arts and Rappahannock Central, I am excited to be a part of a work in progress! Established in June 2011, River District Arts is now home to over a dozen talented artists working in a variety of styles and medium. We also have several upcoming shows planned for the Confluent Gallery and recently expanded by adding a second exhibiting gallery called the River Gallery to allow us to have concurrent exhibitions. Cafe Indigo will be open weekends and Middle Street Gallery is increasing their hours and will be open the same hours as River District Arts . The hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. We are also developing a concept at River District Arts called Artisan Market. Each weekend we will feature six or seven artisans displaying their wares and discussing how it is done. Without a doubt, there is a lot of good energy bouncing off the walls here at Rappahannock Central! It is a pleasure to be here. Jim Allmon
